Gigs

We will be playing at Liverpool Sound City on Thurs 17th of May. We played there last year so it will be good to be back! After that we will be playing in Exodus Coleraine. We haven’t played the North Coast in a while so we are really looking forward to it. Then we have our homecoming gig in Belfast with the Mighty Duke Special, it’s part of Gifted Live at The Empire and it will be streamed live at gifted live.com, check it out!

BBC Radio 1

Last night we were on BBC Radio 1. Local DJ Philly Taggart had us in for a session for BBC Introducing and we played four songs and did an interview. It was good fun to record and you can check it out here on iPlayer if you missed it!

YEESSSS!!!!

EP is nearly finished

We are in the final stages of mixing and mastering the EP, so it will finally be done and ready for tour, hurrah! We had our friend Glenn Kennedy in the studio with us, the man behind the artwork for the EP, laying down some sweet electric guitar licks for a couple of tracks! We will also be making some videos for a few of the songs on the EP which will be up very soon, so keep an eye out on our Facebook and youtube channel.

Tour is looming ever closer, check out the dates to the right and see if you can make it down to a show! We are working on some new material at the minute so hopefully we can crack a few new tunes out while we are on the road!

Also why not follow us on twitter @the1930s

I’m a Vapour

Here’s a new session video we did recently. It was a performance we did for our mates, filmed at Andrew’s house and featuring our buddy Jamie Neish who plays in the band More Than Conquerors. He also writes his own music, check him out here! Hope you enjoy the video!

Oh the Faith lyrics

Here are some new lyrics that Jonny wrote. The song is called Oh the Faith and I think he has written some very strong lyrics for it! It will be recorded sometime soon, but for the meantime it’s been added to our live shows and is one of our favourite new tracks to play.

Oh the Faith lyrics

Andrew

What we are at!

At the minute we are woking hard to get our new EP finished, it should be/has to be done by April for our second UK tour. We will be playing Lavery’s in Belfast for St. Patrick’s day, which will be a great gig, and we are currently working on booking a Belfast show for the beginning of May.

Andrew has started blogging at classiccameron.com and if you didn’t already know, you can find Jonny’s blog at jonnysolari.com

In terms of other stuff happening this week, check out our buddies PrettyChildBackfire who are playing a gig to launch their new video at Auntie Annies on tues 13th, and our chums More than Conquerors will also be playing Auntie Annies on the Fri 16th, get on it!

Keep your eyes peeled as we will be doing a few things around Northern Ireland  in the next few months, then hitting the mainland in the summer for some festivals, including supporting KT Tunstall at one, brilliant!

Paddy’s day gig!

On St. Patrick’s day we will be playing a gig in our hometown of Belfast and we can’t wait.

It’s in Laverys, upstairs in the ballroom and there will be plenty of craic and Guinness on tap! We are on at 6pm so it would be great to see some of you there, it’s only three pounds in, yeooo!
